double page spread

This is my finished double page spread, I used a range of similar images so i was able to put all three of Scott Aldridge and Adam Skinner together, creating a more fun and less serious effect of the band.

The title introduces the band well and makes it clear who this interview is about. The font links well to the front page and the cut of on the 'W' gives an edgey effect similar to the edge of the contents.
The pull quote and other subheadings also introduce a more 'teenage' side to the band, you are able to learn about there knowledge for music, life and friends in just these small examples of quotes and headings.

The subheading of the interview is a quick introduction of their musical passion side, and starts the band of to be very focused musicians, this creates a positive towards the audience and the genre of the magazine.

The interview was a very relaxed and casual type, both the questions and answers related well to the younger audiences, as they were questions given that the fans wanted to know and answers they wanted to hear coming from this new sensational boy group.
The text kept well within the theme and blue and black highlighted well against the white background. These colours also mixed well with the images of the boys as they were similar colours to the backgrounds and clothes of the singers.

All together I think my Double page spread worked out well, it was all linked to each other and fitted well with the theme/genre of the magazine. The audiences will hopefully enjoy the relaxed atmosphere it gives out but at the same time with have fun and being attracted to reading this and interviews similar!

front cover

From the beginning of my plans I knew that 'The wolves' would be featuring in my magazine. I decided to use the two main singers as it would allow space on the magazine, for other flashes, subheading and titles, and wouldnt look so over crowded.

Scott Aldridge and Adam Skinner work well as they have the right look and interests for the magazine genre. Their clothes and choice of style also indicate there hardcore punk interests and work.
Their attitudes will also speak out to the teenage audience that i aiming for as they aren't the people to take themselves too seriously, and create a fun 'banter-filled' outlook.

This is my final outcome of my front cover,  using the title, sub headings, and pictures.

The font, I found from Photoshop as an origional text called 'myraid pro' this creates a relaxed but bold feel for the genre . The reasons for naming my magazine 'REVERSE' is because as its aimed at students and not the educational and 'boring' side of life its aimed at their invidual interests and it's the opposite to the everyday teenage life.

The font then plays onto the image of the boys, the reason for being over top is so it stands out again,  as the boys take up most of the room. The colours used work well together and aren't too dull and still keep in within the lines of the genre.

The subheadings of introducing the 'WOLVES' catch the attention of any possible reader and makes it clear who the main focus of this magazine will be in this issue. The bording around it also helps the words to stand out above the picture and doesn't clash with the different colours of the image.

The flashes and extra are also to include more information for the reader, once again the images indicate a punk-y feel to the magazine and fit in with the theme.

contents

CONTENTS PAGE.

This was the font from the websie http://www.dafont.com/ that i decided to use. The name of it was 'elmar' and as i wanted the font to look like it was scratched/engraved of the image of my guitar this was the best and most suitable font style to use

This image of a guitar is exactly how i wanted the image to look.
Its the main subject for my contents page. Being a close up it allows alot of space for me to 'write' the scratched look on it, and create a contents page. Also another reason for being a close up it allows a good detailed picture of the guitar and is very clear to the audience. It also fits in with the genre of the magazine.

This is my final out come of my contents page for my media magazine. Using the font and the image of the guitar, works well as it insinuates that the writing was scratched on to the guitar.

I like this contents page as its different and interesting, contents pages aren't normally the most exciting things to read so i decided to design something that stood out well while it connected with the theme of a 'music magazine'.

The image allows the writing to be clear and easy to read, its also big enough so the reader can understand and see a view of the whole page.

The borders, which hold the magazine title 'reverse' indicate a link between both the contents and the front page. I thought i needed this at the colours and fonts didnt match each other so i needed something that related to the front page.
